Boudicca's daughter Camora (Veronica Roberts) finds that Kuno (Darien Angadi) has killed his two companions.
She follows his trail, and watches.

He meets with Roman Governor Suetonius Paulinus (Stanley Meadows).

Paulinus gives him a disc that guarantees safe conduct to Roman spies, and tells him to return to Boudicca's camp,
and find out her plans.

When Kuno reaches Boudicca (Siân Phillips), he claims a wound on his hand was sustained when he and his two
companions were attacked by Romans, and he alone escaped with his life. He gives Boudicca false information on
Paulinus' plans. Camora calls him a traitor.

Volthan (Michael Gothard) demands that Boudicca hear her out, and Camora recounts what she saw - Kuno making
a deal with Paulinus.

Kuno accuses her of spite, and says that Tasca (Patti Love) put her up to it.

When given no choice, he shows the disc Paulinus gave him.

He tries to escape, but Morticcus (Tony Haygarth) detains him.  Boudicca is torn.

Kuno begs Boudicca to let him kill himself, but Volthan says that the Druids' altars will not be denied the blood of
the traitor.

Boudicca allows Volthan to take Kuno away for sacrifice. The three Iceni women resolve to head for Londinium.

Meanwhile, Olussa (Richard Murdoch), who is Chief Magistrate of Londinium, and also a trader, receives a visit
from Paulinus, who learns that people are leaving the town for fear of Boudicca's approaching forces, and that
the town only has a garrison of 100 men. Paulinus worries about how his failure to regain control will look to the
Emperor Nero. He decides to accept Olussa's hospitality for the night.

Boudicca's people celebrate a victory over the Ninth Legion - but they are running short of food.

Camora draws Voltahn's attention to an oak tree with mistletoe growing on it.

Volthan is overjoyed to see such a good omen - it is magical and sacred.

Camora laughs at Volthan because he is all wet - he tells her she should have more respect.

Boudicca and Volthan enjoy a toast of renewed allegiance from Morticcus.

Volthan counts money into a pouch - Boudicca asks him to accompany her on a secret mission. She says she has
defied the gods too often - this time she wants them to ride with her.

Paulinus worries about Boudicca's approach - he decides that he has not enough men to defend Londinium, so
he will have to abandon the town.

This plan is overheard by Olussa's spy; Olussa is angry at this betrayal, but he has a plan to double-cross Paulinus.

Boudicca and Volthan meet with Olussa, who knows Boudicca from a previous encounter.

They haggle over 4,000 sacks of grain, and hand over 600 gold coins.

Olussa reveals that he has already accepted 100,000 denarii from Paulinus for the same grain, but has instead given
him something that will be a nasty shock.  He promises to hide the grain somewhere Boudicca can find it.

When Boudicca's forces enter Londinium, they can't find the grain, and wrongly assume that Paulinus has it.

The fight for Londinium rages on.
